Car Rental Terms and Conditions

✓Minimum driver age: 23 years
✓Driving license must be held for at least 1 year
✓National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine are accepted. An International Driving License is required in all other cases
✓Valid passport or ID card required
✓Original documents must be presented upon collection of the car, otherwise the company has the right to cancel the reservation without refunding the deposit. Copies will not be accepted
✓Booking voucher/confirmation is required
✓Only the Renter and approved additional drivers listed in this Agreement may drive the vehicle
✓The Renter authorises the Lessor to charge the Renter’s credit/debit card for any unpaid rental balance, fuel shortages, traffic fines and penalties, damages not covered by insurance, lost keys, excessive cleaning (e.g., smoking, sand, stains), and repairs due to negligence or prohibited use

✓Minimum rental period: 3 days
✓Return delay over 3 hours = extra rental day
✓One (1) additional driver can be registered without any additional charge. Second (2) additional driver will be charged 4 € / day
✓20% deposit is required when booking
✓Prepayment available via bank transfer / card
✓Remaining balance is paid upon arrival via bank transfer / cash / card
✓Partially Paid Reservations

• Free cancellation or change up to 48 hours before pickup. After that, the deposit is non-refundable
• Once cancelled, we will credit you within approximately 5-7 business days

Collision Damage Waiver.
The renter is insured for the rental vehicle damaged by accident, with no obligation to pay any excess. Compensation for damages may be requested for accidents caused by extreme negligence without the involvement of another person and/or vehicle up to the amount of 300 €

Theft Protection.
The renter is insured in case the vehicle is stolen. Any stolen belongings in the interior of the car (e.g., cameras, travel bags or cell-phones) are not covered by any insurance.

Public Liability Insurance (PLI).
The renter is insured with civil liability. The renter’s liability is covered to a maximum of €1.300.000 for death and bodily injuries and €1.300.000 for material damages
✓The insurance will not cover damages resulting from a violation of Greek traffic laws (road signs, speed limitation, road direction, red lights)
✓The driver must not be under the influence of alcohol or other substances

✓Free delivery and return in Heraklion
✓Pick-up and return are available in other cities as well. Elite Way will deliver your car to your location for a small extra charge:

Location fees:
- • Chania Airport: €50 (pickup), €50 (return)
- • Rethymno: €30 (pickup), €30 (return)
- • Agios Nikolaos: €40 (pickup), €40 (return)
✓The car must be returned in the same condition as collected
✓Same to same fuel policy. In case fuel is not at the same level as collected the missing fuel will be charged

✓All traffic violations are the driver’s responsibility. All tickets or fines will be charged to the renter
✓It is prohibited to drive under alcohol or any other influence
✓Lost or damaged keys will result in a replacement fee
✓No off-road driving
✓No third-party drivers without permission
✓In case of an accident, the renter must stay at the location, contact our company immediately in order to report the incident. The driver is not allowed to remove the vehicle, leave the place and must not accept any responsibility or liability to third parties
✓Pets are not allowed in all vehicles
✓Smoking is not allowed in the vehicles
✓Driving in wet clothes or swimsuits is not allowed
✓In case of excessive dirt, the company may charge additional biological cleaning (80 €)
✓The Lessor is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle
✓Leaving Crete is strictly forbidden

✓We are available 24/7 for anything you may need
✓V.A.T (Value Added Tax) 24% is included in our rates
✓Unlimited kilometers are included in our rates
✓Roadside assistance is available 24/7 throughout Crete
✓No additional charges on flight delays or last minute flight schedule changes
✓There is an additional charge 20 € for night delivery or return (22.30 – 08.00)
✓Child Seats are available for an extra charge of 3 € per day
✓Please request extras in advance
✓In case of a breakdown or an accident your car will be replaced with another one within 24 hours from the time that the breakdown or the accident has been reported
✓The Lessor processes personal data in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data may be used for: contract fulfilment, legal obligations, insurance claims, providing information to authorities when required
